| More than a year into the Republican trifecta in Washington, prices are still soaring, health care is too expensive (and in some cases not affordable at all), and the American people are blaming Republicans for their broken promises.
Meanwhile, Mike Lawler told constituents at his disastrous town hall last week that he thinks “the economy is actually doing very well.”
Now that Trump has admitted rising prices and the awful economy is his fault, will Mike Lawler continue to fall in line or try to run away from his broken promises? For someone who has a 100% voting record with Trump and has touted Trump’s economy himself, I bet we know the answer.

A recent poll from Fox News found Donald Trump is 19 points underwater on the economy, being dragged down by the 83% of Independents and 68% of voters who do not think he is spending enough time on the skyrocketing cost of living. Meanwhile, Democrats are more trusted to handle affordability (+14 points), helping the middle class (+14 points), and health care (+21 points).
REMINDER: Just last month, Lawler put out an op-ed in the New York Post praising Trump’s economy in a desperate attempt to spin away the truth about Republicans’ cost-spiking agenda.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler has failed to deliver on his campaign promise to lower the high cost of living. Instead, everyday goods are more expensive and Lower Hudson Valley families can’t afford health care while Lawler and his billionaire besties get richer. Voters are tired of Lawler’s extreme, partisan games.”
