As Trump Demands Government Shutdown, Derrick Van Orden Stands By In Silence

Derrick Van Orden and House Republicans continue to prove they’re incapable of governing. Now, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump, who endorsed and campaigned with Van Orden, is calling on congressional Republicans to shut down the federal government.

Time and time again, Van Orden has enabled Trump’s extreme agenda in Congress – from threatening access to Social Security to voting for legislation that would punish doctors.

As Van Orden sides with MAGA Republicans and Congress barrels toward a government shutdown, hardworking Wisconsin families could pay the price – including veterans who rely on critical services, seniors who could experience delays accessing Social Security benefits, and dairy farmers who could lose out on essential monthly payments.
