Last week, the Republican Study Committee, released their 2023 budget, putting a clear target on Iowa farmers and showing the high stakes of re-electing RSC member Ashley Hinson.
The group’s extreme proposal would eliminate billions in funding for family farmers, leaving hard-working Iowa families vulnerable with “deep cuts in commodity programs and crop insurance.”
“Farmers are the backbone of Iowa and America. House Republicans have betrayed Iowans with this heartless attack on communities that rely on these critical programs to protect their crops and livelihoods,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “The stakes of reelecting RSC member Ashley Hinson to Congress are clear, and she’s shown she’ll sell out Iowa farmers to fall in line with party leaders.”
