This week, Oklahoma’s governor signed an extremist bill into law that would make performing an abortion a felony except in the case of a medical emergency. The legislation prohibits anyone in Oklahoma from performing abortions and imposes a fine of up to $100,000 or a maximum 10-year prison sentence.
Reproductive rights are in danger across the country, and Amanda Adkins stood in lockstep with extreme Republicans every step of the way. Just like her former boss Sam Brownback, Adkins opposes Roe v. Wade and wants to make abortion illegal even in cases of rape and incest. She also supports defunding Planned Parenthood, which provides affordable health care to tens of thousands of Kansans every year.
