It’s been over a week since the nation bore witness to yet another horrific mass shooting that claimed the lives of 19 children, and Amanda Adkins hasn’t uttered a word. Since then, even more tragic mass shootings have unfolded across the country.
There’s a clear reason for Adkins’ silence.
Not only does she have their endorsement, Adkins has taken thousands in donations from the NRA’s PAC and spent a decade backing NRA A+ Governor Sam Brownback. Adkins has made clear where her loyalties lie. In the wake of such disturbing violence however, voters deserve an answer:
With the lives of children on the line, does Amanda Adkins stand with the Washington gun lobby or with American families?
Even Adkins’ radical, far-right primary opponent John McCaughrean decried the violence as unfathomable.
DCCC Spokesperson Helen Kalla:
“If you need proof that Amanda Adkins is a morally corrupt, power-hungry, extremist, look no further than her continued dependence on the powerful gun lobby. Adkins has made it clear she wouldn’t fight for common sense solutions to keep Kansas families safe.”
