Audrey Strikes Back: Houstonians Learn More about John Culberson’s Record in Washington

In the closing week of the race for Texas’s 7th Congressional District, the DCCC returned to a familiar theme: Houston voters learning how far Congressman Culberson’s priorities in Washington have been from their best interests in Houston.

The latest ad in this series reminds voters that Congressman Culberson…

  1. Voted to increase the cost of healthcare in Houston
  2. Voted to gut protections for pre-existing conditions
  3. Voted to allow insurance companies to charge older Americans 5 times more than younger Americans
  4. Is part of the problem in Washington.

The ad will begin airing in the district on Tuesday, October 30th.

DCCC spokesperson Cole Leiter released the following statement:

“No matter how hard he tries to hide the truth, every day Houstonians are finding out that Congressman Culberson’s priorities in Washington have been very different from their own. From his votes to increase the cost of their healthcare and gut protections for people living with pre-existing conditions, to his vote for what AARP calls an ‘age-tax’, Congressman Culberson adds to the problems in Washington, but it’s Houston families that will pay the price.”
