As Azar Visits Charlotte, Hudson Continues to Support His Efforts to Cut North Carolinians’ Health Care

US Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar’s visit to Charlotte today serves as an important reminder that Congressman Rich Hudson has been a self-proclaimed leader in implementing Azar’s dangerous and unpopular health care agenda.

Despite COVID-19 sweeping through North Carolina, Hudson has maintained his support of the lawsuit to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a lawsuit that could cause 502,000 North Carolinians to lose their health care in the middle of a global pandemic.

REMINDER: Just two weeks ago, President Trump reaffirmed that he is focused on terminating the ACA.

“HHS Secretary Alex Azar has been the driving force in the Trump Administration’s years-long efforts to gut protections for pre-existing conditions and force over a half a million North Carolinians off their health care,” said DCCC spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “As Rich Hudson stands beside Azar today, he’s earned his membership card to the Washington swamp and their devastating agenda. Voters have had enough and will reject this betrayal in November.”
