Barbara Comstock Suddenly Forgets Her Decade-Old Opposition to Roe V. Wade in Local Interview

In response to a question from the Loudoun Times Mirror about whether she “[believes] Roe v. Wade should stay the law of the land, Barbara Comstock gave a longwinded 177 worded non-response in which she tried mightily to duck the question. Here’s the one problem with her answer: we know EXACTLY how Barbara Comstock feels about this question, because it’s on tape. She very clearly told Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s Hardball that she believes Roe V. Wade should be overturned.

Equally mystifying, Comstock failed to mention that she’s taken five votes to defund Planned Parenthood and omitted her work in the Virginia House of Delegates to force women seeking abortions to undergo transvaginal ultrasounds.

“Here’s a message for Barbara Comstock: you can’t paper over your extreme anti-women record when it’s on national television,” said Jermaine House of the DCCC.  “It’s pretty clear that Barbara Comstock doesn’t have the courage to publicly reveal her support of Donald Trump, but who could have predicted that she would spinelessly distort her long-held opposition to Roe V. Wade and other anti-women positions.”
