Barbara Kirkmeyer Chose Big Pharma Over Colorado’s Families

Kirkmeyer pockets thousands in campaign cash from big pharma and insurance companies while voting against lowering drug costs

New reporting from the American Independent today detailed Barbara Kirkmeyer received thousands in campaign donations from the pharmaceutical and insurance industries as she repeatedly does big pharma’s bidding in the State Senate.

As a reminder, Kirkmeyer voted against legislation that would create a prescription drug affordability board in Colorado. And last year, Kirkmeyer voted against a bill that would have capped the cost of insulin for Colorado’s families. She slammed the Inflation Reduction Act, which will slash prescription drug costs for Colorado families.

Yet again, Kirkmeyer chose lining her own pockets over people, corporations over communities.

Maddy Mundy, DCCC Spokesperson:
“Time and time again, Barb Kirkmeyer has voted against legislation to lower the sky-high prescription drug costs for Coloradans. She has a proven track record of choosing corporations and special interests over families, and voters will eagerly elect new leadership in November who actually deliver for them.”
