Begich Doubles Down, Calls Ripping Away Alaskans’ Health Care a “Transformative Victory”

Begich is proud of his vote to gut Medicaid, food assistance and explode the national debt – all so he could fund tax cuts for billionaires

Nick Begich is shamelessly proud of his vote for the Big, Ugly Bill. Begich has no doubt over his decision to rip health care away from nearly 40,000 Alaskans and make it harder for almost 40,000 Alaskan households to put food on their tables, sure to cause massive devastation to his constituents.

He also said he was honored to vote for the bill and claims he secured a transformative victory for Alaska.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Nick Begich is vocal and proud of his vote to devastate tens of thousands of Alaskans. When your representative has ‘no doubt’ and is ‘honored’ to rip health care and food assistance away from working families, vulnerable children and seniors, it’s time to get a new one. Just shameful.”
