| As Alaska families brace for rising costs on everything from school supplies to prescription drugs, Nick Begich is nowhere to be found — not at town halls, and certainly not standing up for the people he was elected to represent.
Why? Because he’d have to explain why he’s failing to make life more affordable for hardworking Alaska families.
Making matters worse, Donald Trump is now threatening to impose 250% tariffs on pharmaceutical imports, a move expected to drastically increase the cost of essential medications — and Begich is standing by without objection.
Meanwhile, parents are starting back-to-school shopping early amid fears that tariffs will raise prices on supplies and the overwhelming majority of Americans are stressed about the rising cost of groceries.
As families struggle to get by, Begich’s big accomplishment was voting to rip away health care and food assistance from tens of thousands of his own constituents.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Nick Begich promised to lower costs — but he’s done the opposite. Instead, he’s backing reckless tariffs, ignoring rising prices, and abandoning the families he was elected to serve.” |
