Big Oil Companies That House Republicans Voted to Protect Make Record Profits at Consumers’ Expense

New York Times: Exxon and Chevron Report Record Profits on High Oil and Gas Prices

After every House Republican voted against a bill that would prevent oil companies from price gouging, reports show that Big Oil companies brought in record profits on the backs of Americans paying high prices at the pump. Second-quarter profits for ExxonMobil were up 273% and Chevron’s were up 247% from the same period a year ago.

“While Democrats fight to bring down costs for American families, MAGA Republicans play politics and side with wealthy corporations instead of their constituents,” said DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia.
