As the cost of living continues to rise and be the top issue on voters’ minds, Ann Wagner and House Republicans are working hard to raise health care costs on older Americans.
A new study from the Center for American Progress finds that the GOP Tax Scam would cost older Missourians an average increase of at least $1,200 more in annual premiums to keep their current ACA marketplace plan.
Data from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office shows the House-version of the GOP Tax Scam would rip health care away from more than 250,000 Missourians who depend on either Medicaid or Affordable Care Act tax credits for their coverage. The bill could also force four rural hospitals to close in Missouri, leading to increased costs for families across the state, regardless of insurance.
And yet Wagner cast the deciding vote on this price-spiking abomination.
