Big, Ugly Bill Would Raise Energy Costs on Americans

new report finds that the Big, Ugly Bill would skyrocket energy costs for Americans across the country.

Under the GOP Tax Scam, households nationwide would pay $170 billion more in increased energy bills over the next decade. On average, consumers would see their energy bills increase by more than $260 per year in 2035, with some states seeing household energy bills increase even more, such as a spike of $860 in annual costs in Kentucky.

The study also concluded that the GOP Tax Scam will lead to 790,000 jobs lost in 2035.

These increased energy costs on American households are in addition to the 16 million people who will lose their health insurance from gutting Medicaid and failing to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits. In addition, nearly 24 million people will see their monthly health care costs increase and over 300 rural hospitals could close.

And yet every single so-called moderate voted for this price-spiking, job-killing, health care-cutting abomination.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Americans want lower costs – they said so during the 2024 election. The Big, Ugly Bill is a daily reminder to the public that House Republicans have failed miserably at fulfilling their central campaign promise and it’s going to be the leading reason for them losing their majority next year.”
