| As the NRCC’s latest failed recruit and extreme MAGA warrior, former Assemblymember Bill Brough, attempts to claw his way back into public office, his record is coming into sharper focus.
And it’s bad news for Orange County workers.
When California leaders moved to strengthen equal pay protections, Brough criticized the landmark California Fair Pay Act by falsely claiming it would “create a more hostile work environment” for women.
What the law actually did was ensure women are paid equally for equal work and strengthen existing protections for workers across California.
It’s clear Brough would be just another rubber stamp for the worst of a Trump agenda undercutting California’s workers – facing the biggest loss of blue collar jobs in the country last year, and threatening jobs across the country.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Bill Brough stood on the wrong side then, and Orange County families can’t trust him now. When costs are on the rise and working families are fighting to get ahead, Brough’s record shows he’s more interested in siding with Donald Trump and out-of-touch politicians than standing up for working people. Voters won’t be fooled by a scandal-ridden politician trying to rewrite his record.” |
