Bipartisan UnidosUS Poll: Latinos Are Motivated to Vote for Change in November

Latinos reject the disastrous Republican agenda and plan to vote in record numbers in 2026

New bipartisan polling from UnidosUS shows Latino families are experiencing severe economic strain, are worried about attacks on their freedoms, and want to hold Republican politicians in Washington accountable. Notably, 25% of Latino voters who supported Trump in 2024 say they wouldn’t vote for him again (up from 9% in April 2025).

Since the Republican trifecta took power, the cost of living has skyrocketed and pocketbook issues are a top concern for the American public:

  • Over two-thirds (68%) of Latino voters say the country is headed in the wrong direction.
  • Two-thirds (66%) believe Trump and congressional Republicans are not focused on improving the economy.
  • More than half (52%) say Trump’s economic policies will leave them worse off over the next year.

In addition to financial issues, Latino voters are rejecting Republicans’ extreme immigration tactics with 44% saying they “fear immigration authorities will harass or arrest them even if they are U.S. citizens or legal residents,” and 29% saying their children are missing school as parents fear being arrested. These Republican policies are having significant, quantifiable economic repercussions with 30% reporting that employers have lost workers and 30% saying these actions are hurting the local economy.

DCCC Spokesperson Bridget Gonzalez:
“Hardworking Latino and Hispanic families are struggling to get by, U.S. citizens are worried about being attacked by ICE, and the majority are highly pessimistic about the future. They’re desperate for change and will vote to deliver the House for Democrats come November because they know Republicans won’t lift a finger to help them.”
