| Today, the DCCC announced that Blake Gendebien has been added to the committee’s highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program, signaling that the DCCC is invested in providing Gendebien, a top-tier candidate, with the support needed to continue building a winning campaign as he runs for New York’s 21st District.
“Dairy farmer Blake Gendebien has spent his life serving the North Country as a small business owner and community leader, and he’s exactly the kind of independent, pragmatic voice NY-21 families deserve in Congress. Anthony Constantino has shown voters exactly who he is: a self-dealer who used his own campaign to bankroll ads for his business and supports an extreme agenda that puts billionaires over hardworking families. North Country voters deserve better than an out-of-touch extremist who thinks the rules don’t apply to him, and they’ll send Blake to Washington to fight for them this November,” said DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene.
Born and raised in the North Country, Blake Gendebien is a second-generation dairy farmer, small business owner, and father of three who has spent his life giving back to his community. Blake, who currently co-owns and operates Twin Mill Farms, has represented more than 450 farmers as Vice Chair of the largest dairy co-op in the Northeast and started a nonprofit with his wife to support North Country families dealing with cancer. Now, Blake is running to bring North Country values to Congress, building a strong coalition that crosses party lines in every corner of this sprawling district. He is committed to working with anyone to lower costs, protect rural health care, support the region’s family farms, and root out corruption. While scandal-ridden extremist and self-dealer Anthony Constantino pledges loyalty to an unpopular agenda of tariffs that jack up costs and health care cuts that hurt rural hospitals, Blake is ready to get to work for the North Country and fight for his community.
In a seat Donald Trump won by double digits, all three non-partisan race raters recently shifted NY-21 toward Democrats and polls from both campaigns show Gendebien in striking distance of Constantino.
