Bo Hines “Cut Short” Call with Reporter When Asked About Trump’s Rally

27-year-old Bo Hines is sweating questions about his association with former president Donald Trump

Bo Hines is starting to realize his undying loyalty to the most fringe wing of his party is going to cost him with moderate, independent voters in toss-up NC-13.

Hines will be appearing on stage this week with former president Donald Trump, where their extremism will be on full display. But don’t ask him questions about it. When the New York Times called Hines to confirm his attendance at the rally, Hines “cut short the call.”

As New York Times reports, “In North Carolina, Bo Hines, a Republican House candidate who won his primary in May after proudly highlighting support from Mr. Trump, has deleted the former president’s name and image from his campaign site. A campaign official described the move as part of an overhaul of the website to prioritize issues that are important to general-election voters.”

Try as he might, Bo Hines will never be able to walk back his eager association with the most fringe, extreme members of his party – from Donald Trump, to Marjorie Taylor Greene, to Madison Cawthorn.

“Just last month Bo Hines said he was going to Congress to be a ‘MAGA warrior,’ and now he’s hanging up on reporters asking if he’ll appear on stage with Donald Trump,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “We hope Hines doesn’t hurt himself from all the acrobatics he’s doing to try and cover up his extreme record.”
