Republican Bob Dold continues taking credit for denouncing Donald Trump – without saying who he’s going to vote for or acknowledging that a vote for anyone but Hillary is basically a vote for Trump – so why is he raising money for pro-Trump Republicans?
Dold recently headlined an event titled “Beat Hillary at the Distillery” to raise money for pro-Trump Republican political organizations – and yes, to try and beat Hillary. More proof positive that Dold’s loyalty is to his Republican Party – and not our country.
It should be no surprise that Republican Bob Dold wants to prevent Hillary Clinton from reaching the White House – Dold began his political career in the ‘90s as partisan counsel for the House Republican committee investigating the Clintons in one of Republicans’ first taxpayer-funded wild goose chases.
“This is the most recent example that despite his many press releases, Bob Dold is loyal to the Republican Party, and not his constituents or what’s good for the country,” said DCCC Spokeswoman Sacha Haworth. “It’s simply preposterous for Bob Dold to now say with a straight face that he doesn’t want Donald Trump to be president if he is actively raising money to beat Hillary Clinton.”
