Boosted by Massive Grassroots Support, Democrats Across the House Battlefield Post Huge Fundraising Numbers

From coast to coast, Frontliners and Red to Blue candidates outraise their Republican opponents in second quarter

Republicans are floundering for a midterm message as they fail to lower costs, spending their time in the majority pushing an “America Last” budget to fund Trump’s reckless war of choice in the Middle East that is causing gas prices to rise for everyday Americans back home.

Amidst this awful, self-imposed political environment for Republicans, Democratic Frontliners and Red to Blue candidates are putting together campaigns built on winning.

The latest proof point of the growing momentum behind House Democrats’ march towards the majority is their dominant second quarter fundraising.

Key stats from Q2:

  • On average, Democratic Frontliners outraised their Republican challengers by $387,000.
    • Frontliners also boasted an average of nearly $2.7 million cash-on-hand – nearly 5 times more than their Republican challengers.
    • 20 DCCC Frontliners outraised their Republican challengers.
  • The DCCC’s Red to Blue Candidates raised on average $1.3 million, with 16 of them hitting the $1 million or more raised milestone this quarter.
  • 20 Red to Blue candidates outraised their Republican opponent:
    • JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06)
    • Dr. Richard Pan (CA-06)
    • Randy Villegas (CA-22)
    • Marni von Wilpert (CA-48)
    • Jessica Killin (CO-05)
    • Bale Dalton (FL-07)
    • Christina Bohannan (IA-01)
    • Sarah Trone Garriott (IA-03)
    • Denise Powell (NE-02)
    • Jamie Ager (NC-11)
    • Rebecca Bennett (NJ-07)
    • Cait Conley (NY-17)
    • Bob Brooks (PA-07)
    • Paige Cognetti (PA-08)
    • Janelle Stelson (PA-10)
    • Bobby Pulido (TX-15)
    • Johnny Garcia (TX-35)
    • Chaz Molder (TN-05)
    • Shannon Taylor (VA-01)
    • Elaine Luria (VA-02)
    • Rebecca Cooke (WI-03)
  • As Democrats across the country build their warchests, the NRCC’s so-called “MAGA Majority” candidates averaged just $676,000 raised, significantly trailing their Democratic Frontliner opponents across the battlefield.
  • Red to Blue candidates also boast an average of $1.8 million cash on hand, about twice as much as “MAGA Majority” candidates.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Q2 filings reveal Democrats – both Frontliners and Red to Blue candidates – have the resources to deliver their message to voters despite Republican attempts to rig the midterms and distract voters from their broken promises on rising costs, the economy, and the war. Thanks to people-powered campaigns, we are well on our way to taking back the majority in November.”
