| The 37th House Republican has officially called it quits, the most number of Congressional Republicans to retire since at least 1930.
Even worse for Republicans: Sam Graves’ departure is an open admission that he does NOT believe he will hold the gavel of the coveted Transportation Committee.
A significant portion of these vacancies are in high-stakes battleground districts. Democrats have already set their sights on several of these now-open seats, including:

- MI-10
- MT-01
- NE-02
- SC-01
