Just weeks after the so-called moderates fell in line and voted for the GOP Tax Scam, new polling from CNN reveals the law continues to be deeply unpopular with the American public.
61% of Americans oppose Trump’s Big, Ugly Law, which would make the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in history to bankroll the GOP’s billionaire donors.
A majority of Americans say the Big, Ugly Law would HURT the economy rather than help, and only 16% of Americans think the law will “make you and your family better off.”
Today’s poll affirms what poll after poll has revealed for months: the Big, Ugly Law is the most unpopular piece of legislation of the century.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“The Big, Ugly Law is the defining vote of the midterm election, and the so-called moderates caved after months of falsely promising no cuts to Medicaid, food assistance, and energy jobs. It’s clear the more people learn about the bill, the more people hate it, which is why Republicans will lose the majority next year.” |
