House Republicans are scheming to pay for Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, which is reportedly going to cost American taxpayers another $200 billion so far, by further cutting health care from hardworking American families.

Last year, House Republicans voted for the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires. Hospitals, nursing homes and community-based health clinics across the country are closing because of this law. At the same time, Republicans refused to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, forcing millions of hardworking Americans to choose between higher premium costs or losing insurance all together.

After saying that rising gas prices Californians are facing for the war in Iran are “no pain, no gain,” voters deserve to know where Jim Desmond stands on this callous new plan.
