BREAKING: House Republicans Fail to Improve Historically Unpopular Tax Scam

Today, House and Senate Republicans reached a preliminary deal to hold hands and walk the plank together on a historically unpopular Tax Scam that is facing fierce local backlash across the country.

Despite massive problems with both the House and Senate versions, the backdoor negotiations yielded no meaningful fixes. The bill still includes tax hikes for middle class Americans, massive giveaways to corporations and the wealthy, and a repeal of a crucial part of the Affordable Care Act that will cause premiums to skyrocket. To make matters worse, this Tax Scam continues to set the stage for cuts to Medicare and Social Security because of the massive increase to the national debt that the bill creates.

“Vulnerable House Republicans are now going to have to walk the plank on an even worse version of the Republican Tax Scam,” said DCCC spokesperson Tyler Law. “Not only will middle class families see tax hikes while corporations and the wealthy get tax breaks, now Speaker Ryan’s imperiled majority will be voting in support of skyrocketing healthcare premiums. With polls showing that the GOP Tax Scam is widely and increasingly unpopular, this bill will be a huge political liability for Speaker Ryan and House Republicans in 2018.”
