George Santos’ own Nassau County GOP leaders are calling on the disgraced Congressman to immediately resign from Congress.
This is the strongest condemnation yet of Santos from his party, as spineless GOP leaders in Washington have yet to answer for Santos’ shameful lies and blatant deceit of voters.
Kevin McCarthy needs to stop hiding and immediately explain why he continues to embolden Santos’ lies and unethical behavior.
Already, Santos is facing complaints to the Department of Justice, Office of Congressional Ethics, and Federal Election Commission and investigations from Brazilian authorities, federal prosecutors with the Eastern District of New York, Queens County District Attorney, and Nassau County District Attorney. House Republicans are even fighting internally about whether to even allow Santos to sit on any committees.
With this unequivocal rebuke of Santos from his own local party leaders and fellow Congressman Anthony D’Esposito, it’s clear Santos will continue to only be a failure and totally useless to Long Island.
As his own local leaders said, “The longer he remains in office, the longer the residents of the Third Congressional District will suffer.”
