Millions of Americans struggling with rising prices are dropping health insurance coverage after Republicans in Congress and Donald Trump refused to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.
According to a new report from CMS obtained by NOTUS, there’s been a 21% decline in enrollment in the 30 states that use the federal marketplace.
This news follows recent reporting which shows industry experts project nearly 5 million people are at risk of losing coverage due to spiking premium costs.
Extreme DC Republicans have refused to advance legislation – pushed forward by House Democrats – to extend ACA tax credits for 3 years, which have made health care more affordable and accessible for millions.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“House Republicans are deliberately making life more expensive and ripping away health care from hardworking Americans, who can’t even go to see a doctor because of Republicans’ failed policies.”
