House Republicans have refused to present a single plan to lower the high cost of living — a promise they made on the campaign trail to do on day one of a Republican-controlled Congress.
Instead, all they have to show is the largest transfer of wealth in American history — giving billionaires a tax break by gutting Medicaid and food assistance for millions of hardworking Americans.
A recent poll from CBS News/YouGov showed 50% of Americans say they feel they are financially worse off and and 60% say they feel “fairly bad” or “very bad” about the economy. Trump’s sweeping tariffs — responsible for rising costs — are 24 points underwater, while the Big, Ugly Law is 22 points underwater.
