| Congressman Tom Kean Jr. just showed once again how out-of-touch he is with New Jersey – this time by voting against a bipartisan aviation safety bill.
Kean Jr. cast the deciding vote against the ROTOR Act, bipartisan legislation which “would have required planes to carry a type of tracking technology that federal investigators determined could have helped avoid a midair collision over the Potomac River last year that killed 67 people.”
Before Kean Jr. cast his inexplicable vote, the chair of the National Transportation Safety Board told reporters: “How many more people need to die for us to decide that action needs to be taken?”
Kean Jr.’s vote is a slap in the face to all of the victims and their families of the Potomac River crash – including those from his own state of New Jersey.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Tom Kean Jr. continues to put New Jersey last.” |
