BREAKING: Zach Nunn Is Top 20 Most Vulnerable Congressman in the Country

Nunn ranked #20 most vulnerable Congresswoman in the country in National Journal’s 2026 House Power Rankings

The National Journal’s first 2026 House Power Rankings listed IA-03 as one of the most competitive races next November, spelling BIG trouble for Zach Nunn.

“Over the past few weeks, Nunn considered both a run for the ruby-red 4th District, as well as a run for governor. He got neither, as Trump endorsed him for reelection in the competitive 3rd District… Democrats feel bullish about the seat, especially with Auditor Rob Sand—Iowa’s highest-profile Democrat—running for governor.”

This comes as no surprise after Nunn cast a cruel, unpopular, and decisive vote to kick his constituents off their health care, rip food off the tables of Iowa families, and make life more expensive for Iowans – all so he can give Republicans’ billionaire donors more tax breaks.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Zach Nunn’s disastrous record in Congress has solidified him as one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the entire country. His repeated attempts to flee IA-03 make it clear he’s terrified to have to defend his vote to slash Medicaid and give tax cuts to billionaires and his support for cost-raising tariffs. Make no mistake, in 466 days, we’re going to send Nunn packing.”
