Brian Fitzpatrick Continues to Side With Dangerous Seditionists

Fitzpatrick Votes Against Contempt of ex-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick — a former FBI agent and prosecutor — apparently no longer has any interest in standing up for justice.

Last night, Fitzpatrick voted against holding ex-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress over his refusal to cooperate with the January 6th committee over his role in the insurrection and attempts to overturn the election. Earlier this week, CNN reported Meadows sent an email ahead of January 6th ensuring the National Guard would “protect pro-Trump people” who stormed the Capitol.

Previously Fitzpatrick:

  • Took more than $50,000 from the “Sedition Caucus” — the 147 Republicans who voted against certifying the 2020 electoral college results.

  • Voted against impeaching Trump, which “showed a total lack of courage.”

  • Cowardly dodged standing for the truth as Liz Cheney was removed from GOP leadership for telling the truth about the legitimacy of the 2020 election.

  • Voted against establishing the bipartisan select committee now investigating the January 6th Capitol insurrection.

Fitzpatrick, who once called the events of January 6th a “coup attempt,” is now calling it quits on accountability.  Fitzpatrick styles himself as someone above partisan politics, but he is complicit in this political cover-up.

DCCC Spokesperson James Singer:

“Yet again, Brian Fitzpatrick has chosen to align himself with those who attacked our Capitol and tried to overturn the will of the voters. When it matters most, Fitzpatrick will always choose partisan politics over what’s best for our country.”
