Today, vulnerable Republican Brian Fitzpatrick reaffirmed his full allegiance to the far-right wing of the Republican party by fundraising with Speaker Mike Johnson.
While Johnson has “struggled to replicate [former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s] fundraising prowess,” the fundraiser puts Fitzpatrick on the hook for Mike Johnson’s extreme platform that includes a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of the woman.
Last year, so-called “moderate” Fitzpatrick voted for Mike Johnson for Speaker of the House, enabling the party’s far-right fringes to attack women’s reproductive freedoms, undermine democracy, and enact Donald Trump’s extreme agenda.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“As long as the checks keep coming, Brian Fitzpatrick is happy to embrace Mike Johnson’s dangerous far-right agenda at the expense of his constituents. Pennsylvanians deserve a representative who will fight for them, not take orders from MAGA extremists who want to outlaw abortion nationwide.”
