Brian Fitzpatrick & GOP Want to Ban Abortion Nationwide

Seven months after Fitzpatrick voted against codifying right to an abortion, draft SCOTUS opinion overturns Roe & Casey

Last night, Politico reported  on an initial leaked Supreme Court opinion that stated, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled” by the majority.

This came on the heels of a Washington Post report that Republicans plan on pushing a 6-week national ban on abortion and other states criminalizing abortions.

An America without abortion is what Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, along with every other House Republican, signaled he supported while voting against the Women’s Health Protection Act – siding directly with GOP legislatures across the country voting to criminalize abortion without any exceptions for victims of rape and incest

Reminder: Recent national polls find around 70% of Americans oppose overturning Roe.

DCCC Spokesperson James Singer
“The anti-abortion dreams of the radical right Brian Fitzpatrick has endorsed are now set to become an American nightmare. Fitzpatrick must be forced to explain why he has joined this extremely unpopular effort to strip women’s constitutional right to make their own health care decisions.”
