Today, DCCC Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney announced that the DCCC added twelve candidates to the highly competitive Red to Blue program.
On that list is Brittany Pettersen, who is running to ensure Colorado families have a representative who will continue to fight for good-paying jobs and critical investments in Congress.
Pettersen earned a spot on the DCCC’s coveted Red to Blue program by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization, and fundraising. Pettersen touts a record of leadership in the Colorado state legislature – taking on powerful special interests and making significant investments in public education. As a fourth-generation Coloradan, Pettersen has an authentic message and deep ties to the communities she will serve.
“Brittany Pettersen has spent nearly a decade fighting for Coloradans in the state legislature. Now, she is stepping up to win this open seat and ensure the residents of CO-07 continue to have a champion fighting for them in Washington,” said DCCC spokesperson Maddy Mundy. “Republicans will spend heavily to claim this seat for one of their extreme candidates, but Brittany is mounting an impressive grassroots campaign and is already securing major endorsements that will give her the momentum to win.”
Red to Blue is a highly competitive battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to develop strong campaigns. Through Red to Blue, the DCCC also provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings and more.
