Bruce Poliquin Silent on Voter Intimidation Tactics

Congressman Bruce Poliquin is still silent on a recent effort to intimidate young voters from casting their ballots on Election Day.

Over the weekend, flyers were circulated at Bates College giving students false information about so-called ‘requirements’ for voting. The move has been widely seen as a desperate attempt to prevent young people from voting on Election Day.

As of this morning, WMTW reports that Poliquin’s office “has not issued an official response.”

The fact that Millennial voters are more likely to vote for Democrats raises disturbing questions about who is behind the flier in the “toss up” 2nd District.

“There is a concerted, organized effort to prevent young people from voting on Election Day, and Congressman Bruce Poliquin is shockingly silent,” said Bryan Lesswing at the DCCC. “Bruce Poliquin has a duty to denounce these voter intimidation ploys against his own constituents. Anything less makes him unfit for office.”
