Today, Bryan Steil and House Republicans passed twobills that chip away at women’s constitutional freedoms and attempt to deny them access to essential reproductive health care.
These measures would use federal funds to spread misinformation and prevent vulnerable communities from seeking essential health care. The first of these was even endorsed by the extreme, anti-choice National Right to Life Committee, an organization that advocates for a national abortion ban.
This is just the latest step in Steil’s crusade to ban abortion nationwide. Steil called the Dobbs decision a “great victory” and votedtwice against the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe’s protections of reproductive freedom.
