Yesterday, Donald Trump said he is open to restricting or banning birth control, saying when asked if he supports any restrictions on contraception: “We’re looking at that, and I’m going to have a policy on that very shortly, and I think it’s something that you’ll find interesting. I think it’s a smart decision. But we’ll be releasing it very soon.”
The Republican frontrunner for president has previously celebrated his “miracle” efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade and proposed a national abortion ban.
Bryan Steil will side with his party bosses every step of the way. Steil has previously voted against legislation to protect access to contraception nationwide and has supported efforts in the 118th Congress to restrict access to reproductive care.
