Bucks County Courier Times: “Fitzpatrick Had Voted Against The American Rescue Plan And The Inflation Reduction Act, Bills That Created And Extended The Enhanced Subsidies.”

Here’s a reminder that Brian Fitzpatrick has repeatedly voted against legislation to lower health care costs

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has failed to do anything recently to lower the skyrocketing cost of health care – and now, at the eleventh hour, he is trying to paper over his longstanding record of hurting Bucks and Montgomery County families.

The Bucks County Courier Times reminds readers that Fitzpatrick has long opposed efforts to make health care more affordable, writing: “Fitzpatrick had voted against the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, bills that created and extended the enhanced subsidies.”

And Fitzpatrick’s local paper points out that the Republican is only now posturing as if he wants to address the health care crisis he and his party have created “amid declining approval of the Trump administration’s economic policies and a ‘blue wave’ in recent local elections that saw historic wins for Bucks County Democrats.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Brian Fitzpatrick appears to have come to the realization that he’s done absolutely nothing actionable to lower the cost of health care, and that Bucks and Montgomery families are feeling the pain. His eleventh hour attempt to paper over the health care crisis he and his Republican Party have created is an admission that even he knows he’s facing his toughest re-election campaign yet because he’s failed to lower skyrocketing costs.”
