CALLED OUT: Hypocritical House Republicans Voted ‘No,’ Took the Dough

House Republicans lie to voters and try to take credit for popular infrastructure investments they voted against

Congressional Democrats delivered historic legislation to help states fix crumbling roads and bridges, create jobs, and ease supply chain pressures – now, several Republicans who think they can gaslight their constituents are trying to claim credit. Local and national news outlets are taking notice  – and voters will too.

The list of Republicans desperate to rewrite history seems to grow day by day, but one thing remains clear: when given the chance to deliver for their constituents, these hypocritical House Republicans voted against the critical investments they are now touting.

“When given an opportunity to deliver results for their community, most Republicans voted against roads and bridges, jobs, and the supply chain,” said DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre. “Republicans are seriously mistaken if they think they will get away with taking credit for broadly popular legislation they voted against.”
