CALLED OUT: Tom Kean Holds onto Money from GOP Candidate Accused of Voter Fraud

NJ-07 Candidate Tom Kean’s hypocrisy on election integrity gets called out as he guards $2,900 in donations

In case you missed it: NRCC-backed, NJ-07 GOP candidate Tom Kean was called out for failing to condemn election fraud in the Republican party.

Kean accepted $2,900 from fellow NRCC-backed congressional candidate and former New Jerseyan Matt Mowers, who admitted to voting in both New Jersey and New Hampshire during the 2016 Republican presidential primary. The double-vote may have been a violation of federal election law and has received widespread backlash.

Tom Kean’s refusal to return Mowers’ money is egregious coming from a candidate whose party has pushed the “Big Lie” of election fraud, and hammered election integrity talking points.

Will Tom Kean return double-voting Mower’s money or will he be a hypocrite on one of the GOP’s cornerstone talking points?

DCCC spokesperson James Singer:
“Tom Kean’s silence when a member of his own party allegedly commits voter fraud can be bought for $2900.”
