IRVINE – True to form for a career politician, State Senator Dino Rossi’s announced at a closed door, minimum $200 a plate fundraiser, that he will run for Congress in Washington’s 8th Congressional District. DCCC spokesperson Drew Godinich released the following statement:
“It’s been nearly 20 years since career politician Dino Rossi actually won an election – Washington voters have rejected him three times in recent races.
“But true to form, career politician Dino Rossi has announced his run for Congress at a fundraiser for his wealthy friends and corporate interests, far away from the hardworking families – and press corps – who actually matter. This is all Washington voters need to know about the tired, detached campaign Rossi plans to run.”
This will be Rossi’s fourth attempt at federal or statewide office, having been already rejected by Washington voters three times in the past. In his last failed run for office, he was cited as being hostile and closed to the press – something that appears not to have changed.
