VIDEO – Andy Harris: “I’m Done Making Apologies” For American Tragedies

Harris goes off the rails, takes stand against recognizing internment of Japanese Americans and victims of El Paso shooting

new video shows vulnerable Republican Rep. Andy Harris at a political event railing against promoting education about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II and a memorial recognizing victims of the El Paso shooting.

The bills passed the U.S. House this week 406-16 and 403-25, respectively.

In the diatribe, Harris is heard downplaying the internment of Japanese Americans and mocking the two pieces of legislation, repeatedly claiming that he’s “done apologizing” in reference to the horrific tragedies addressed by the bills.

Harris also stated his pride in being one of only 16 and 25 Republicans, respectively, to vote against these bills – an illustrious group that includes Members of Congress such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Paul Gosar, who share Harris’ extreme views.

DCCC Spokesperson Abel Iraola
“Andy Harris’ off-the-rails rant playing down the internment of Japanese Americans and a mass shooting in El Paso are contemptible and beyond the pale. The only thing Andy Harris is delivering for Maryland these days is embarrassment after embarrassment as he cements his status as one of the worst and least effective Members of Congress anywhere in the country.”
