Huizenga spent 15 years in Washington holding and trading individual stocks while saying he had “mixed feelings” about a stock trading ban and feared it was “an overreaction.” He was also one of just a dozen members of Congress who voted against banning insider trading.
Huizenga rubberstamped every policy raising prices on Michiganders. He voted to rip away health care from hardworking people and raise health care costs – voting to gutMedicaid, repeal the ACA, privatize Medicare, and raise the Social Security retirement age.
Huizenga voted to give data center developers $83 billion in tax breaks. He called data centers our nation’s “crown jewels” – it’s no wonder he’s raked in nearly $10 million from corporate special interests, including utilities and companies trying to build data centers.
Huizenga got caught paying more than $400,000 in campaign cash to his brother – who also worked as a full time real estate agent, selling condos for Huizenga’s luxury condo company.
