New analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) finds that the House Republican budget bill – supported by David Schweikert, Eli Crane, and Juan Ciscomani – will force middle class Arizonans to foot the bill for huge tax breaks to billionaires.
The CBO report on the bill finds that the poorest 10% of Americans will see their household resources reduced, while the richest will see their resources increase.
This new analysis comes as Schweikert, Crane, and Ciscomani have been lying about their bill’s dangerous agenda of slashing Medicaid, risking health care coverage for 300,000 Arizonans, and gutting the SNAP programs that 294,151 Arizona households depend on – all so they can pay for tax breaks for the richest Americans.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office’s new report proves that David Schweikert, Eli Crane, and Juan Ciscomani have been lying for months about their budget’s true agenda: forcing Arizonans to foot the bill for tax breaks for billionaires. Schweikert, Crane, and Ciscomani are waiting in the wings to vote YES on this bill that sells out Arizona families, and voters will fire them for it next November.”
