New analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) finds that the House Republican budget bill – supported by Tom Barrett and Bill Huizinga – will force middle class Michiganders to foot the bill for huge tax breaks to billionaires.
The CBO report on the bill finds that the poorest 10% of Americans will see their household resources reduced, while the richest will see their resources increase.
This new analysis comes as Barrett and Huizinga have been lying to Michiganders about this bill’s true agenda of slashing Medicaid, risking health care coverage for 1,114,000 Michiganders, and gutting the SNAP programs that 574,740 Michiganders depend on – all so they can pay for tax breaks for the richest Americans.
