Scott Perry may want to consider dropping out.
The congressman received report cards from local Central Pennsylvania teachers, and every single one agreed that Perry is flunking his job.
The teachers pointed out that Perry “hasn’t had an in-person town hall since July 2019,” and that “his constituents’ calls have gone unanswered for weeks at a time.” No wonder he got a failing grade.

York Dispatch: Pennsylvania teachers grade Congressman Scott Perry’s performance
By Meredith Willse | August 5, 2025
- South-central Pennsylvanian teachers delivered 86 graded “report cards” on Congressman Scott Perry’s performance, and it’s not looking like the Carroll Township Republican will land on the honor roll.
- He got four F’s on each report card, which the teachers were able to sign and date and leave a comment. The subjects were: representation, legislation, constituency service and oversight.
- The report cards — which appear to have been printed with grades already marked — claim Perry hasn’t had an in-person town hall since July 2019, his constituents’ calls have gone unanswered for weeks at a time, he did not vote with the state and national teachers unions for 15 bills, and he has voted “in the interests of President Trump 96% of the time.”
- Perry’s office did not respond to requests for comment.
- The teachers with the Pennsylvania State Education Association, who were “very disappointed” in Perry’s performance, delivered their report cards on July 16 to his Mechanicsburg office. This was their second attempt to deliver the report cards; the previous attempt was in late June, but the office staff informed the teachers that no one was available in the office. The teachers said they offered other dates, but never heard back.
