In the wake of the Supreme Court decision overturning 50 years of precedent, Chabot must answer for his unpopular and dangerous record of fighting to overturn Roe and block access to abortion.
-
Every single House Republican, including Chabot, voted against protecting access to an abortion and protecting a woman’s right to make her own decisions.
-
Chabot joined 125 other House Republicans in signing an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to overturn Roe
-
For decades, Chabot has wanted to ban ALL abortions and throw doctors in jail for providing abortion care
Make no mistake: Chabot is on the wrong side of this issue. Polling conducted after the leak of the SCOTUS draft opinion overturning Roe shows: by a two-to-one margin, people oppose Roe being overturned; 80% of people believe abortion should be decided between a woman and her doctor; and nearly two-thirds of people oppose the GOP’s plan to institute a nationwide abortion ban.
Chabot will be held accountable for his role in this recent decision and his party’s plan to institute a nationwide abortion ban.
DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Chabot bears responsibility for the devastating decision overturning Roe. Chabot will have to explain his disturbing record of attacking women’s personal freedoms to the countless Southwest Ohio women and families he’s endangered.”
