| Today, the DCCC announced that Chris Jones has been added to the committee’s highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program, signaling that the DCCC is invested in providing Jones, a top-tier candidate, with the support needed to continue building a winning campaign as he runs for Arkansas’ Second District.
“French Hill has met his match in Chris Jones. Chris has built a campaign with undeniable momentum that is tapping into what folks in Arkansas want to see from their leaders: someone dedicated to lowering costs, fighting for good jobs, and who will put workers over billionaire donors. While French Hill is cutting health care and voting for cost-raising tariffs crushing Arkansas businesses, Chris is running to make sure Arkansas has real leadership that works for them,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene.
Chris Jones is a 7th-generation Arkansan raised by parents who were both ministers. As a physicist, ordained minister, and former executive director of the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub, Chris has built the broad coalition necessary to compete in this Trump-won district. Chris ran for Governor in 2022, establishing broad statewide visibility and demonstrating major strength by winning Pulaski County, which anchors AR-02, with roughly 60% of the vote. As voters sour on French Hill’s cost-raising agenda, Chris’ campaign is laser-focused on lowering costs and growing the region’s economy. Record high Democratic turnout in the primary and a fired-up base in Democratic-voting Little Rock puts Chris on strong footing to flip this seat in November.
The March 3rd primary was the first time since the blue wave of 2018 that Democratic voters in Pulaski County made up over 65% of the primary electorate in a non-presidential election year, and recent polling shows this race is fully in play.
Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue building winning campaigns. Additionally, through Red to Blue the DCCC provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings, fundraising support, and more. |
