| Vulnerable GOP Congressman and “Nothingburger of the Year Award” winner Chuck Edwards is in deep trouble, and he knows it.
In a new interview with the Hendersonville Lightning, Edwards made clear his top priority is himself instead of focusing on Hurricane Helene victims, complaining that he “[doesn’t] think folks give us enough credit” for the woefully inadequate FEMA funds he secured – which amounted to barely 10% of the funding North Carolina needs, much of which is still held up in federal bureaucracy and red tape.
Meanwhile, many counties throughout NC-11 are facing devastating budget shortfalls and FEMA projects remain significantly delayed as families across Edwards’ district continue to struggle.
REMINDER: Inside Elections recently shifted its prediction for NC-11 towards Democrats, making clear that voters are fed up with Edwards’ track record of failure on everything from hurricane relief to skyrocketing health care costs.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Chuck Edwards wants North Carolina families, small business owners, and Western North Carolina communities who are still struggling under his failed leadership to ‘give him some credit?’ Give me a break.” |
