Shady Chabot just can’t stop trying to deceive his constituents.
Today, the Cincinnati Enquirer fact-checked Shady Steve Chabot and his Republican backers who launched ads with the false claim that Kate Schroder raised taxes, when she wasn’t even in elected office.
Per the Enquirer, “the ads give a misleading impression it was “Schroder’s plan.” It was a plan put forward by Cincinnati Metro to improve bus service.” On top of that, Hamilton County voters approved this bipartisan plan – which included an income tax cut and provided much-needed funding to improve the infrastructure that Steve Chabot let crumble during his quarter-century in Congress.
But that of course didn’t stop an organization backing Chabot from releasing a new ad today peddling the same lies and mistruths.
“This is just the latest example of Steve Chabot’s shady behavior,” said DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “Chabot has relied on lies and mistruths throughout this campaign because he knows voters will have no desire to re-elect him when they know the facts: in his quarter of a century in office, Chabot has become everything that’s wrong with Washington. As voters see through his blatant lies, Chabot knows his time is running out.”
