Tenney’s Twitter Frenzy Raises Speculation
Former U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney is back at it. Tenney tweeted almost 100 times last week, from her tweets responding to Rep. Brindisi’s legislative successes to her retweets of the Washington Republicans she’s desperate to join and criticisms of the press. It feels like a cry for attention to us, so we’ll bite: Claudia, are you running for Congress again?
While Tenney sits behind her keyboard, Rep. Brindisi is busy standing up for the people of upstate New York. Just this week, he secured $20 million in funding that will benefit Rome Lab and the NextFlex Node at Binghamton University, critical drivers of the region’s economy. He’s also been a champion for local dairy farmers, fighting against milk imitators and co-sponsoring a measure to increase access to whole milk in schools.
“Rep. Brindisi would rather meet with his constituents in person, as he has at his numerous town halls since taking office, but Claudia Tenney seems more comfortable behind a computer screen,” said DCCC Spokesperson Melissa Miller. “Feel free to @ us next time, Claudia, and let us know if you’re in the race or just extremely online.”
